411 new covid cases past 24 hours

KUWAIT, Jan 6 (KUNA) — The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health on Wednesday declared recording 411 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the past 24 hours, raising the caseload since local eruption of the pandemic to 152,438.


No new deaths were recorded, during the same period of time, thus the mortalities’ toll of the pathogen remained at 938.


Official spokesperson of the MoH Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said in remarks to KUNA that the number of patients at intensive care units amounted to 56, with the whole count of the cases of confirmed infections with COVID-19 and continued to receive medical care standing at 3,485.


Number of swab tests, conducted over the past 24 hours, stood at 10,558 with the overall count of these examinations standing at 1.287,755.
He renewed the call upon the citizens and residents to adhere to standing precautions against the highly contagious disease.


Meanwhile, the MoH reported that 231 of the coronavirus patients recovered during the past 24 hours, putting the total number of the recuperated at 148,015
