45 deaths and infection rise to 1834 in India – 66 new cases with 6 deaths registered in Egypt

NEW DELHI, April 1 (KUNA) — Indian health authorities said, Wednesday, that the coronavirus has claimed 45 lives while the number of positive cases in the country hitting 1,834.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare revealed that the number of deaths climbed to 45 as ten more deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.
The ministry added that there were 322 fresh cases taking the total positive cases to 1,834.

Egypt

The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population announced that 22 cases of those infected with Corona virus have been discharged from the isolation hospital, including a Malaysian woman and 21 Egyptians, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, bringing the total of those recovering from the virus to 179 cases until Today.

Dr. Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and the official spokesperson of the ministry, said that the number of cases whose laboratory results were converted from positive to negative for Corona virus (Covid-19) rose to 221 cases, including the 179 recovered.

He added that 69 new cases that had positive laboratory analyzes of the virus were recorded, all of them Egyptians, including those returning from abroad in addition to those who had contacts with positive cases that had been discovered and announced previously, as part of the ministry’s surveillance and investigation procedures, according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to the death of 6 cases, including Jordanian nationality, and 5 Egyptians.
