RIYADH, Oct 13: Debris from the interception and destruction of two cruise missiles launched by Yemen's Houthi militia injured four people and caused limited damage to 15 residential homes in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia's Civil Defense said Tuesday.

The injured included two women, a man and a child, according to the official spokesperson for the Civil Defense.

The spokesperson said Civil Defense teams responded to falling debris after the two cruise missiles were intercepted and destroyed over Riyadh.

The incident also caused limited material damage to 15 residential homes, the statement said.

Authorities implemented the approved emergency procedures in response to the incident.

Saudi authorities have repeatedly reported missile and drone threats linked to the Houthis, who have launched attacks against targets in Saudi Arabia and other parts of the region.

The latest incident highlights the continuing security risks posed by missile attacks and falling interception debris to civilians and residential areas.
