KUWAIT CITY, Jan 3: A security source said that a total of 39,487 expats were deported from Kuwait last year 2025, for reasons linked to the public interest, drug and psychotropic substance abuse, and violations of applicable laws and regulations.
The source stated that the figures reflect a firm security approach and a policy of enforcing the law without leniency, underscoring the authorities’ commitment to maintaining security and stability and taking action against anyone who disrupts public order or poses a threat to society. He noted that deportation orders were issued only after the completion of all required legal procedures and were carried out as part of ongoing security campaigns conducted by various security sectors in coordination with relevant authorities to apprehend violators and pursue lawbreakers.
According to the source, some of those deported were living in the country with their families. As their family members held residency permits sponsored by the deportees, they were also required to leave the country once the deportation orders were enforced. He stressed that such cases are assessed based on each family’s residency status.
The source added that security campaigns will continue and that the competent authorities will not hesitate to take strict measures against anyone who abuses residency privileges or violates the law, emphasizing that Kuwait welcomes all those who comply with its regulations and laws.
