34,452 illegals ‘exit during amnesty, 20,725 obtain legal residence

KUWAIT CITY, April 23: The amnesty given for the residence law-violators to leave the country without paying fees or correct their status ended Sunday, April 22.
A security source said 34,452 violators of the law left the country and 20,725 obtained legal residence in the country.
The source added 35.6% of the violators benefited from the period, that is to say 55,177 of the total number of 155,000.
