33 private clinics face action for violating advertising regulations

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 31: Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi has referred 33 medical facilities in the private health sector to the Medical Liability Authority for violating Ministerial Decision No. 87 of 2023 regarding the regulations and guidelines for medical advertisements in the private sector. This action is part of the effort to organize the private medical sector and ensure compliance with the applicable regulations.

In a press release issued on Thursday, the Ministry of Health stated that this step follows the detection of several advertisements that violate the regulations governing medical advertising, which aim to regulate this field and protect the community from any unethical practices.

The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to enforcing laws and procedures related to the regulation of medical advertising in the private health sector by activating its tools and oversight mechanisms to maintain the safety of citizens and ensure the provision of high-quality health services. (KUNA)
