31 Kuwaitis stripped of nationality over dual citizenship violations

KUWAIT CITY, May 17: The Supreme Committee for Nationality Affairs has revoked the Kuwaiti citizenship of 31 individuals holding dual nationality, in accordance with Article 11 of Kuwait’s Nationality Law.

The decision was issued during a committee meeting reviewing citizenship files and cases related to violations of nationality regulations. Under Article 11, Kuwaiti nationality may be withdrawn from citizens proven to have acquired or retained another nationality without official approval.

The cases are expected to be referred for the necessary legal and administrative procedures before the decision is officially published.
