30 nabbed in raid – Cash, criminal cases

KUWAIT CITY, March 10: A total of 30 Kuwaiti citizens and expatriates who are wanted by law for financial or criminal cases were arrested during widespread campaigns launched in all governorates based on instructions from Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs at Ministry of Interior Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah. According to security sources, officers from Public Security sector were instructed to launch security checkpoints in all governorates with the aim of arresting violators of law.

They arrested 30 wanted citizens and expatriates who are wanted for debts ranging from KD 5 to KD 40,000 as well as violators of residency law. The arrested individuals were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action. The sources affirmed that such security campaigns will be organized in the near future to arrest violators of law.

Meanwhile, Capital securitymen arrested a Kuwaiti citizen who is wanted by law for his involvement in several cases and was sentenced to five-year imprisonment for a kidnapping incident that occurred 17 years ago in Firdous area.
