30 liquor bottles seized; illegal calls provider arrested

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 10: Police officers from Farwaniya arrested an Asian in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh in possession of local liquor bottles.

Security sources said officers on patrol spotted the culprit in an open yard at Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and approached him for checking. They found 30 bottles of local liquor and referred the suspect to concerned authorities for necessary action.

Meanwhile, security operatives attached to Farwaniya security command apprehended an Asian man for tapping international call lines in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh. The officers were on a round of the area when they noticed a large number of Asian trooping into a building. Based on the observation, they requested reinforcement but they went ahead and raided the building when they realized that some of the Asians were fleeing the scene. Owner of the suspicious apartment was arrested after the officers caught him with telephone lines and gadgets for tapping telephone calls.
