KUWAIT CITY, Jun 1: Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, has ordered the formation of an immediate investigation committee following the escape of three inmates from correctional facilities.
The Ministry of Interior identified the escapees as Hassan Salem Al-Rashidi, a Kuwaiti national; Ahmed Mohammed Qate', a non-Kuwaiti; and Ali Manahi Al-Subaie, a Kuwaiti national.
The minister directed authorities to take all necessary measures to locate and apprehend the fugitives as quickly as possible. The General Department of Criminal Investigation and other security agencies have been tasked with pursuing the inmates, while their details have been circulated to all border crossings and ports of entry to prevent them from leaving the country.
The Ministry of Interior urged the public to exercise caution, avoid contact with the escapees, and immediately report any information regarding their whereabouts through the emergency hotline 112. It also warned that legal action would be taken against anyone found to be assisting or harboring the fugitives.
