3 Expat beggars arrested

KUWAIT CITY, March 19: The General Administration of Residence Affairs Investigation has taken action in response to reports received on previously announced phone numbers for reporting cases of begging. Three expats of various nationalities were arrested on charges of begging, and legal proceedings are being initiated against them.

The Ministry of the Interior expressed appreciation for the cooperation and initiative of citizens in reporting incidents of begging, which exemplifies the adage, “every citizen is a sentinel.”

The administration urges everyone to report any cases of begging they observe immediately on the following phone numbers: 97288211, 97288200, 25582581, 25582582, or the emergency phone number (112), which operates 24 hours a day.
