KUWAIT CITY, Nov 1 : Three Egyptian expatriates, who were among a group of Egyptians that had gathered at Green Island prior to heading to the Egyptian embassy and voting in the Egyptian parliamentary elections recently, will be deported for provoking chaos in a public place, says Al- Seyassah.
According to sources, a number of Egyptian residents of Kuwait gathered at Green Island to head to their embassy for voting in the Egyptian parliamentary elections. However, an altercation broke out among them, leading to chaos in the area. Securitymen rushed to the location and seized an Egyptian expatriate, who happened to be an employee of the Egyptian embassy but he did not identify himself.
A number of individuals started shouting in protest at the arrest of the embassy employee and demanded his release. Eventually, the officers had to shoot in the air to settle the altercation and disperse the crowd. The employee was referred to the police station for necessary legal procedures.
Securitymen had also arrested three individuals from the protesting group. Sources revealed that a decision was later taken to deport these three Egyptians immediately for creating chaos in public.
