3 dead, over 25 injured in bus accident in central Sri Lanka

COLOMBO, June 22, (Xinhua): Three people were killed and over 25 injured when a bus toppled down a precipice in Badulla, Sri Lanka's central Uva province, on Saturday, police said. According to local media, the injured were admitted to the Badulla Hospital.

Police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident. In 2024, 2,541 deaths were recorded in Sri Lanka from 2,403 fatal road accidents, according to the police.
