KUWAIT CITY, May 30: The 2nd Open Karting Championship for boys and girls, which was organized by the Kuwait Karting Club at Al-Kout Circuit, witnessed strong competition in the last rounds. Faisal Al-Shuwai’i won the title in the boys’ category, followed by Abdul Majeed Shaaban in the runnerup position, and Hazza Al-Aiban in the third place. In the girls’ category, Iman Shams Al-Din won the title, followed by Misk Anas Al-Saleh in second place, and Asma Gyash in third place.

During the closing ceremony, a member of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Karting Club Yousef Al-Kandari, and the club’s Public Relations Director Hanadi Al-Shaar crowned the first winners in each category. Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Karting Club Dr. Hamid Boushahri praised the distinguished level presented by the competitors in the youth categories, in light of the strength of competition in the championship, which witnessed the participation of 150 male and female competitors above the age of 14 years.

He said, “The tournament witnessed strong competition and excitement until the last rounds”. Dr. Boushahri congratulated the winners, wishing them and the rest of the contestants success in the upcoming tournaments. He thanked the club’s working committees for their keenness in organizing the tournament in a deserving manner
