KUWAIT CITY, Nov 30: According to informed sources in the Ministry of Public Works, the services of 283 non-Kuwaiti employees in the ministry were terminated from the beginning of March 2020 to August 17, 2023. In this context, the sources revealed that the total number of non-Kuwaiti employees in the ministry is 242 at present.

They affirmed the ministry’s commitment to implementing the provisions of Civil Service Council’s resolution No. 11/2017 regarding the rules for the process of Kuwaitization of government jobs, stressing that it took several necessary measures to implement the Kuwaitization policy according to the rate-determined for each job group until the rate of Kuwaitization in the ministry and its subordinate agencies reached 100 percent. The sources affirmed that non-Kuwaiti employees do not hold any supervisory or leadership position, based on the Cabinet’s decision to not appoint non-Kuwaitis in any supervisory or leadership position.
