KUWAIT CITY, Feb 21: The Ministry of Justice announced on Thursday the acceptance of 28 female court clerks after completing screening and verification procedures according to the approved regulations. This marks the first time women have been appointed to this position.
In a press statement, the ministry explained that a training course will be held for them in cooperation with the Kuwait Institute for Judicial and Legal Studies from March 9 to 11 at the institute’s headquarters. They will be notified of all details and procedures through the unified government application for electronic services “Sahel”. The ministry urged them to follow the notifications and adhere to the specified dates.
On December 28, 2025, Minister of Justice, Counselor Nasser Al-Sumait, announced in a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) the opening of applications for the female court clerk training course, as part of the ministry’s efforts to develop human resources. Counselor Al-Sumait explained that the application process supports judicial work and promotes equal opportunities between the sexes. It aims to expand the national talent base and benefit from qualified female capabilities, supporting the smooth running of court sessions and enhancing performance efficiency within the courts, in accordance with approved regulations
