KUWAIT CITY, Oct 19: The Minister of Public Works Dr. Amani Bouqmaz issued a ministerial decision today to refer to the retirement of 27 supervisors who were eligible for a retirement pension and had completed their service period in the ministry.

Meanwhile, reliable sources called on the minister of public works to expedite the filling of 53 vacant supervisory positions in the various sectors of the ministry in order to infuse new blood into the work sectors and support decision-making that is in the interest of work. This is especially in consideration of the fact that the Ministry of Public Works is one of the important ministries that implements billion-dollar projects, and its supervisors and leaders need job stability in their positions.

The sources explained that 337 employees had applied for the aforementioned supervisory positions, of whom 164 employees had passed the test. They stressed the necessity of completing the confirmation procedures for those who have passed the tests and personal interviews by the Employment Affairs Committee. In a related context, the sources indicated that there are six leadership positions as well as the position of undersecretary who is still assigned and requires Minister Bouqmaz to resolve their position by nominating and confirming them as principals so that they can carry out the tasks assigned to them, especially managing and following up on the projects that fall under each sector.
