26 caught using private car for ‘transportation’

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 18: The General Traffic Department (GTD) in the Ministry of Interior conducted an intensive security campaign targeting public buses. GTD Director General Brigadier General Rashid Hammoud and Assistant Director of the Traffic Regulation Affairs Department Ayoub Al-Ayoub spearheaded the campaign, which resulted in the issuance of citations for 338 traffic violations and 26 violations for using a motor vehicle for transportation. This is in addition to the impoundment of 27 vehicles and the referral of 27 people to the traffic police. According to GTD, legal measures will be taken against all those proven to have committed violations, and campaigns will continue throughout the country to guarantee a safer traffic environment for everyone.
