KUWAIT CITY, Sept 17: Security authorities have launched an investigation into the theft of approximately 25,000 liters of diesel from several sites belonging to a company in Jahra Governorate, with the stolen fuel estimated to be worth around KD 3,000.
The company filed a report at a Jahra police station stating that unidentified suspects broke into several of its sites during June after cutting through barbed-wire fences and breaking iron locks. They allegedly seized large quantities of diesel, while the break-ins also caused material damage to the sites through cutting, forced entry and vandalism. A lawyer representing the company told the Public Prosecution that he was not accusing any specific person. Authorities have begun investigations to determine the circumstances of the thefts and identify those responsible.
