Tampered Expiration Dates on Imported Seafood Exposed in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 3: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has taken action against imported fish companies, including their factories, branches, and refrigeration facilities. These businesses have been subject to legal action after being discovered engaging in commercial fraud related to the quality and freshness of frozen fish and shrimp. They were found to be selling products that were supposed to be frozen as chilled and fresh, and they had tampered with the expiration dates on frozen items. In total, these companies distributed 2,500 kilograms of such products to the general public, restaurants, and markets.
