24 supermarkets violated health precautions

KUWAIT CITY, Apr 9: The Ministry of Trade and Industry announced today on Thursday, that 24 violations notices were issued to supermarkets that did not adhere to the precautionary measures to contain the spread of coronavirus virus (Covid 19).

The Ministry of MOCI said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency, that its inspection teams monitored 334 cooperative societies, supermarkets, commercial stores and vegetable shops to determine the extent of their commitment and to maintain the stability of product prices, as well as 4 supermarkets were reponed.

MOCI added that the inspection teams monitored 80 catering branches to ensure the smooth flow of sales and delivery of foodstuffs to their beneficiaries. The emergency center received 286 complaints via the hotline (135) and 35 complaints through the call centers, while the ration cards were renewed and issued for 299 transactions.
