23 ‘landmarks’ in Kuwait await new bids

KUWAIT CITY, July 29: The Kuwait Authority for Partnership Projects (KAPP) on Monday referred Tender No. 2/2025-2026/2025, concerning the preparation of consultancy studies for the re-tendering of projects located on state-owned real estate, to the State Audit Bureau (SAB) for pre-audit, review, and approval procedures. KAPP announced the tender in January last year in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance, inviting specialised local, regional, and international consultancy firms and consortia to submit technical and financial proposals for the provision of consultancy services. The tender includes the preparation of feasibility studies and tender documents for 23 projects located on state-owned real estate, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 116/2014 and the procedures stipulated in Law No. 49/2016 concerning public tenders and its executive regulations. The responsibilities of the winning consultancy firm include preparing technical, economic, environmental, and legal feasibility studies, preparing tender documents, and evaluating bids for each project.

The firm will also oversee the technical, financial, legal, and environmental aspects of each project until financial closure, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 116/2014 and its executive regulations. KAPP stated that the projects scheduled for re-tendering are: ■ Fahaheel Waterfront Development (Al-Kout) ■ Waterfront Phase Five (Marina Mall) ■ Two construction waste treatment plants ■ International Center (United Market) ■ Al-Maseel Market (Grand Market) ■ Al-Watya Market ■ Kuwait Beach 11 (Magic Mall) ■ Farwaniya Slaughterhouse ■ National Market ■ International Golf Club ■ Safat Market ■ Al-Manakh Market ■ International Real Estate ■ Jleeb Meat, Vegetable, and Fish Market ■ Jahra Armored Vehicle ■ Mubarakiya Market ■ Ahmadi Slaughterhouse ■ Jahra Meat and Vegetable Market ■ Al-Khaima Mall ■ Sulaibiya Central Fruit and Vegetable Market
