23 Expats Arrested in Massive Drug, Alcohol and Arms Bust

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 20:  The Ministry of Interior successfully arrested 23 individuals involved in 19 cases, confiscating approximately 27 kilograms of various narcotics, 24,000 psychotropic pills, 192 bottles of alcohol, 25 marijuana seedlings, as well as firearms, and funds acquired from sales.

Continuing the tireless efforts of the criminal security sector to enforce the law, bolster security presence, and apprehend criminals, promoters, and distributors of harmful substances, the General Department of Narcotics Control executed a series of operations resulting in the arrest of 23 expats from various nationalities in 19 separate cases. The detainees were found in possession of around 27 kilograms of various types of narcotics (crystal meth, Hashish, Marijuana, Heroin), along with 24,000 pills containing various psychotropic substances. Additionally, 25 marijuana seedlings, unlicensed firearms and ammunition, and sums of money obtained through illegal transactions were seized.

Upon confrontation with the seized items, the defendants confessed to their ownership and admitted their intention to engage in trafficking and abuse. The arrested individuals, along with the confiscated items, were duly handed over to the appropriate authorities for the necessary legal actions against them.
