KUWAIT CITY, Jul 22: The Ministry of Commerce and Consumer Protection Department participated in a large-scale joint inspection campaign in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, deploying field teams alongside other government agencies to strengthen regulatory enforcement.

A total of 100 inspectors from various supervisory units and emergency teams took part in the campaign, which was conducted from July 15, 2026, carrying out comprehensive inspections across the area.

The campaign resulted in the issuance of 227 violation reports for various offences. Authorities also ordered the closure of eight commercial establishments operating in different sectors after they were found to have committed violations warranting closure under applicable laws and regulations.

Officials said the necessary legal measures have been taken against the violators as part of ongoing efforts to enforce consumer protection and commercial regulations.
