22 Suspects Arrested in 13 Drug Cases Across Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 19: The General Directorate for Drug Control has arrested 22 suspects in 13 separate drug-related cases following intensive surveillance and investigation operations, the Ministry of Interior said.

The suspects were arrested in possession of various narcotic and psychotropic substances allegedly intended for trafficking and personal use.

The seizures included:

  • 466 grams of methamphetamine (crystal meth)
  • 350 grams of heroin
  • 148 sheets of A4 paper saturated with synthetic cannabinoids (chemical)
  • 100 tablets of psychotropic substances
  • 70 grams of marijuana
  • 30 marijuana seeds
  • 20 grams of hashish
  • 15 additional tablets of psychotropic substances
  • 11 precision scales
  • Various drug paraphernalia

The Ministry said the arrests were part of ongoing security efforts to combat drug trafficking and prevent the spread of narcotics.

All suspects, along with the seized items, were referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal measures.
