LOS ANGELES, March 2: Ticket prices for the 2026 FIFA World Cup range from $900 for the opening match to $8,000 for the final, making the world’s biggest football event — kicking off in 100 days — a premium experience.

According to FIFA, nearly seven million tickets have been made available. Fans can purchase up to four tickets per match, with a maximum of 40 tickets across the tournament.

The first ticket phase, held in October via lottery, sold around two million tickets. The second phase, conducted in December and January and also based on a lottery system, saw a record 508 million applications, FIFA reported.

FIFA has not revealed the exact allocations from this phase, but the highest-demand matches included the final Group 11 game between Colombia and Portugal in Miami on June 27, Mexico vs. South Korea in Guadalajara on June 18, and the final at MetLife Stadium on July 19.

This expanded World Cup, the first in history to feature 48 teams and 104 matches, comes with a significant rise in ticket prices, especially for the most popular games.
