KUWAIT CITY, May 13: Kuwait Municipality’s Public Relations Department announced that field teams from the Public Hygiene and Road Occupancy Departments have intensified inspection campaigns across all governorates to enforce municipal regulations and enhance environmental cleanliness.

The Municipality said that the ongoing field tours aim to monitor violations, remove obstructions from public spaces, and prevent illegal dumping of waste outside designated containers, while strengthening the supervisory role of regulatory authorities.

In Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate, field teams conducted extensive inspections across residential areas to improve cleanliness standards and eliminate visual pollution and road obstructions.

As part of the campaign, 20 abandoned and scrap vehicles were removed, along with air-conditioning units, water tanks, and illegal prefabricated structures, all of which were transferred to the impound lot. Authorities also issued 19 public hygiene and road occupancy violations and 84 removal warnings, including notices related to abandoned vehicles and commercial containers.

In addition, 40 old containers were replaced with new ones, while 1,067 truckloads of waste were cleared as part of ongoing sanitation efforts across the governorate.
