2 sisters die, family, maid hurt in mishap

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 19: Two Kuwaiti children (sisters) died on the spot and four other members of a family (including three other children) and an Asian housemaid were injured following traffic accident on the Seventh Ring Road, reports Al-Qabas daily. It has been reported the head of the family was behind the wheel, he lost control and the vehicle overturned.

Costly necklace stolen: A Kuwaiti businessman has filed a complaint with the Faiha Police Station accusing his housemaid of stealing a diamond necklace worth KD 150,000, reports Al-Anba daily. According to the complainant the maid claimed she was sick and did not accompany the family to the chalet, committed the theft and escaped. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted the fingerprints. Police are trying to find out if the maid is still in the country.
