2 shot dead in bistro near Frankfurt Airport in Germany

BERLIN, March 17, (Xinhua): Two people were shot dead early Tuesday at a bistro in Raunheim near Frankfurt Airport in Germany, local police said.

According to initial findings, an armed individual entered the venue at around 3:45 a.m. local time (0245 GMT) and opened fire on the victims, who died at the scene from their injuries.

The suspect fled and remains at large, and the motive for the shooting remains unclear, German media reported. Police have launched a large-scale manhunt.
