KUWAIT CITY, March 10: Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have taken into custody three people – an Iraqi and two Kuwaitis, one of them a policeman and the other working for National Guard – for possessing fireworks and putting at risk the lives of others and damaging property, reports Al-Anba daily.
A security source said a video clip that went viral in the social media showed the trio ‘playing’ with fireworks from a high-rise building and throwing the fireworks on the street below.
During interrogation the trio said they were unaware of the dangers of their act, and apologized and said it was a mere for fun sake. However, they have been referred to the Prosecution for violating the country’s laws.
