2 commercial stores closed for not complying with precautionary measures

KUWAIT CITY, Apr 11: Ministry of Trade and Industry closed two commercial stores today that did not comply with the law and the applicable decisions regarding the relevant precautionary measures to face the repercussions of the spread of the emerging coronavirus infection (Covid 19).

MOCI stated in a statement to Kuwait News Agency that inspection teams monitored 427 cooperative societies, supermarkets, commercial stores and vegetable shops to determine the extent of their commitment and maintain the stability of product prices, as well as the reopening of one commercial store.

Also the inspection teams monitored 80 catering branches to ensure the flow of sales and delivery of foodstuffs to their beneficiaries, as well as editing 16 seizure minutes of violating commercial stores.

Call center received 161 complaints via the hotline (135) and six complaints through the control centers, while the ration cards were issuedfor 19.
