2 caught growing, selling marijuana

KUWAIT CITY, March 20: The Criminal Security Sector of the General Department of Drugs and Alcohol Control (GDDAC) gas arrested two people for possessing one kilo of marijuana and three marijuana seedlings that were planted at the residence of one of the suspects, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources, one of the suspects was arrested with two sachets of marijuana weighing about 14 grams and a small piece of hashish.

Following the investigations with him, it was found that the main accused was cultivating marijuana inside his apartment and personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department got a warrant issued by the Public Prosecution and raided the apartment. During interrogations both men admitted to the charges against them and also admitted that they were trafficking in drugs. Accordingly, the accused and the seized items were referred to the competent authority for legal measures to be taken against them.
