KUWAIT CITY, Aug 23: As part of ongoing efforts to combat violations and negative practices, the Criminal Security Sector, under the direct supervision of His Excellency Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, launched a large-scale joint security campaign in the areas of Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and Khaitan.

The General Directorate of Criminal Investigations carried out the operation in coordination with multiple state agencies, including the General Fire Department, Kuwait Municipality, the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, the Ministry of Public Works, and the Public Authority for the Environment.

During the campaign, authorities shut down 19 commercial establishments for breaching licensing regulations and issued additional violations against businesses operating without proper permits. The Kuwait Municipality also dismantled several illegal street markets, arresting 26 violators and confiscating a number of mobile grocery vehicles.

Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Al-Sabah instructed all relevant bodies to intensify inspections, strictly monitor non-compliant businesses, and take immediate deterrent action against those violating laws and regulations.

The Ministry of Interior reaffirmed its commitment to continuing such joint field operations in cooperation with relevant authorities, to address violations, enhance public safety, and protect the community.
