KUWAIT CITY, June 27: The Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) has confirmed the opening of bids for two tenders for sand removal from highways in the northern and southern areas on behalf of the Maintenance Engineering Sector at Ministry of Public Works. A total of 19 companies competed for the two tenders -- 10 for the southern area and nine for the northern area). CAPT will submit the tender documents to the ministry for review and presentation of technical recommendations within 30 days. These recommendations will then be forwarded to the State Audit Bureau (SAB) for pre-audit procedures. Through these two tenders, the ministry aims to ensure smooth traffic flow, maintain safety and security standards, and protect infrastructure from the dangers of sand accumulation on highways.
