KUWAIT CITY, Oct 22: The Public Security sector of the Ministry of Interior in collaboration with the Kuwait Municipality has arrested 18 expatriates of various nationalities during security campaigns in Farwaniya, Jleeb Al- Shuyoukh and during a raid on the Haramiya Market in Hassawi, reports Al- Seyassah daily. Most of those arrested are residence law violators and hawkers. The security campaign was led by Col Abdulrazzak Ibrahim and Major Rashed Al-Hajeri.

Meanwhile, an unidentified Indian bootlegger who was caught in possession with 31 bottles of locally manufactured booze and KD 251 in his possession, has been arrested and referred to the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station, reports Al- Rai daily. The suspect was reportedly caught by the Farwaniya police. It has been reported when the suspect saw the police moving towards him, he dumped the bag which he was carrying and tried in vain to escape.
