17 juveniles in court, expat deported in traffic violation

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 2: Statistics issued by the General Traffic Department shows during the last week of October 2020 the GTD issued 25,309 citations and referred 17 juveniles to the Traffic Court after they were caught driving without licence, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily added, an expatriate who was also caught driving without a licence has been deported from the country.

During the campaign the Traffic Sector said 83 motorists have been put behind bars for committing serious violations, seized nine vehicles wanted by law, and also arrested 15 persons who were wanted by law for committing fraud and/or had been sentenced to prison terms in absentia.

This is addition to impounding 23 vehicles and a motorcycle for various reasons. The daily said the campaign was supervised by the Undersecretary for Operations and Traffic Sector, Major-General Jamal Al-Sayegh.
