KUWAIT CITY, Nov 25: Under the direct guidance and field supervision of Eng. Abdul Latif Al-Mashari, Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs, and Eng. Manal Al-Asfour, Acting Director General of the Municipality, the Spring Camps Committee in the Southern Region, has launched a comprehensive campaign to remove illegal campsites. These actions target camps that lack the required permits or fail to comply with designated camping areas. The initiative is being carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, the Fire Force, and the General Authority for the Environment.

During the enforcement operations in the southern region, authorities issued seven citations for violations related to cleanliness and unauthorized use of public spaces. In addition, 167 campsites that were found in breach of camping regulations were removed.

The Municipality’s Public Relations Department confirmed that the Spring Camping Committee teams will continue to monitor all camping areas throughout the season to ensure compliance. The teams are tasked with identifying and removing any remaining unauthorized campsites and taking all necessary measures to enforce municipal regulations, thereby maintaining safety, environmental standards, and orderly use of public spaces.
