KUWAIT CITY, Nov 24: As part of the ongoing efforts to enhance traffic safety and security, Al-Ahmadi security personnel conducted a recent campaign to apprehend wanted individuals and traffic law violators. The Operations Department patrols initiated this security sweep in Al-Sabahiya, Umm Al-Hayman, and Fahd Al-Ahmad the evening before yesterday. The campaign targeted those violating traffic laws and engaging in reckless driving.

During the operation, 16 people were arrested, including 6 juveniles. Kuwaiti citizens were found driving vehicles recklessly, creating disturbances, and operating without valid licenses, thereby posing risks to their own lives and the safety of others, reports Al-Anba daily.

The 6 juveniles have been referred to the Juvenile Prosecution, while the remaining individuals have been referred to the Traffic Department.

Additionally, 32 traffic violations were issued, and 15 cars were impounded at the traffic detention garage. In a related development, the Traffic Sector disclosed that it has placed 9 vehicle drivers in precautionary detention, with legal proceedings pending as they await court judgments.
