KUWAIT CITY, July 22: The Nursing Services Department, in collaboration with the Oman College of Health Sciences, has launched the “Preparing a Clinical Trainer in the Field of Cardiac Care” training course. This initiative is part of a series of training courses under a memorandum of understanding between the two organizations.

The 10-day course was attended by 16 nurses from cardiac care departments across various hospitals. Dr. Iman Al-Awadhi, Director of the Nursing Services Department, explained that the course included both theoretical lectures and practical training aimed at preparing trainers specializing in cardiac care. The objective was to equip them with the necessary expertise to develop advanced training programs.

Dr. Al-Awadhi emphasized that the memorandum of understanding aims to organize various specialized courses to enhance the skills of nursing staff in different hospitals. Previous courses have included intensive care for adults and children.

These efforts are part of the “Developing the Capacities of the Health Human Element” project. Over 300 nurses from various hospitals and primary care centers have been trained in clinical, cognitive, and leadership fields, benefiting more than 2,000 nurses in their workplaces.

Dr. Al-Awadhi expressed appreciation for the efforts of the Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, in empowering and motivating nursing cadres. She praised their support in attracting external expertise and qualifying local nursing cadres to achieve the goals of the National Strategy for Health Care.
