KUWAIT CITY, Feb 7: In a robust clampdown on drug-related activities, the General Directorate for Drug Control under the Criminal Security Sector has made significant strides in dismantling networks of drug dealers and users, underpinning the initiative's commitment to bolstering societal security and safety. Specialized security units spearheaded a series of targeted operations, culminating in the apprehension of 16 individuals of diverse national origins. These suspects were found in possession of an array of illegal substances, signaling a breakthrough in the fight against narcotics distribution.
The seizures include 880 grams of methamphetamine, 745 grams of hashish, along with three additional pieces, 151 grams of synthetic cannabinoids, 40 milliliters of synthetic cannabinoid oil, 3 grams of heroin, and a staggering 5000 Captagon tablets. Authorities also confiscated several tools believed to be utilized in the drug weighing and distribution process.
Following their arrest, the suspects were subjected to the requisite legal proceedings, with both them and the confiscated substances turned over to the judicial authorities for further action, reinforcing the legal framework's rigorous stance against such illegal activities.
