16 Arrested and 43 Vehicles Seized on Kuwait's Sheikh Jaber Bridge

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 10: As part of ongoing efforts by the Traffic and Operations Affairs Sector to enforce the law, curb violations, and combat traffic-related offenses, the General Traffic Department—represented by the Roads Department, the Jahra Governorate Traffic Department, and the Security Control Department—conducted a large-scale road safety campaign on Thursday, October 9, 2025, on the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Bridge. The campaign targeted vehicles and motorcycles in violation of traffic regulations, as well as individuals responsible for security breaches.

The campaign yielded the following results:

  • 485 various traffic violations were issued.
  • 1 individual was arrested for lacking identification.
  • 1 absconders was apprehended.
  • 1 wanted person was arrested.
  • 43 vehicles and motorcycles were seized for legal violations.
  • 16 individuals were referred to the Traffic Police Station.

The General Traffic Department reaffirmed that such field campaigns will continue across all governorates to ensure road safety and uphold the law. It also urged all motorists to strictly adhere to traffic rules and regulations to safeguard their own lives and the safety of other road users.
