15-yrs jail, deportation for Al-Khaldi

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 11: The Criminal Court, presided over by Judge Abdulwahab Al- Muaili, on Sunday sentenced Salman Al-Khaldi to 15 years in prison with hard labor, followed by deportation, in a State security case. The court charged the defendant with challenging the authority of HH the Amir and insulting him on social media, specifically his account on the X platform. During the trial, Al-Khaldi denied the charges against him, while his lawyer requested an adjournment to review and photograph the case file.
