15 Shrapnel Reported as Kuwait Warns on Illegal Weapons Deadline

KUWAIT CITY, March 26: Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior has urged citizens and residents to take advantage of the remaining grace period to surrender unlicensed firearms, ammunition, and explosives, with six days left before the deadline on April 1.

Speaking during a media briefing, ministry spokesperson Brigadier General Nasser Bousleib said authorities handled 15 reports of falling shrapnel in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 565 incidents since the start of the ongoing situation.

He added that alert sirens were activated three times, raising the total number of activations to 142 since the beginning of the escalation.

Officials reiterated the importance of complying with safety measures and legal requirements to help maintain public security during the current circumstances
