15 projects fuel Kuwait’s infrastructure boom

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 6: The Ministry of Public Works has included 15 construction projects in its current annual plan for 2026/2027, covering buildings and headquarters for ministries and government institutions. The contracts include both study and design phases as well as implementation phases, in accordance with the latest engineering, technical, and environmental standards. These projects aim to meet the requirements of government entities and provide suitable working environments for employees and visitors. The ministry also plans to implement a project for the construction, completion, and maintenance of roads and intersections along the Southern Regional Road, extending north of Mina Abdullah Road in North Wafra.

The ministry has included this project in its current fiscal year contracts, with the tender to be issued through the Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) for a 39-month implementation period, according to the Roads Engineering Department at the Ministry of Public Works. The project aims to achieve several important developmental objectives, including upgrading and modernizing the regional road, which is part of the international highway network in the Middle East. It will contribute to developing an integrated transportation system and support regional and international trade among Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
