15 Arrested in Bahrain Over Alleged Links to Incitement and External Agendas

KUWAIT CITY, Jun 3: The Bahrain Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of 15 individuals accused of acting as field operatives involved in carrying out incitement-related directives aimed at influencing citizens, particularly youth and adolescents, to engage in activities criminalized under law. According to the ministry, the suspects were allegedly operating through methods of social infiltration, forming cells designed to advance agendas linked to illegitimate entities.

The ministry stated that the arrests were carried out as part of ongoing efforts to safeguard national security and maintain social stability, following investigations and security reports connected to earlier cases involving alleged Iranian agents in Bahrain, who were said to have links with individuals associated with the Revolutionary Guard in Iran.

Authorities confirmed that legal procedures are underway against those arrested, while search and monitoring operations continue to identify and apprehend any additional individuals linked to the network. The ministry also noted that the suspects’ activities had been under surveillance, and stressed that the measures taken are intended to protect societal security and prevent attempts to incite division or disrupt civil peace within Bahrain.
