KUWAIT CITY, Aug 16: The Airport Customs department seized 140 kgs of narcotics coming in from an Asian country. The shipment was received by a Kuwaiti citizen. Due to the large quantity raised suspicions on checking large quantities of Kratom leaves powder. The leaves contain a chemical called mitragynine, which works like opioids such as morphine and is generally found in Southeast Asia. Necessary procedures have been taken to take legal action against the culprit.
