KUWAIT, June 4: Kuwait's Ministry of Health on Friday reported four new COVID-19 deaths, and 1,280 infections in the past 24 hours. The Ministry's spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad told KUNA that the total fatalities increased to 1,787 and the caseload to 314,569 since the beginning of the pandemic. He added that the total recoveries have reached 298,485 after 1,156 patients recovered from coronavirus, making the recovery rate 94 percent out from the conducted tests. Moreover, 14,297 patients in total are receiving health care, including 151 at intensive care units, he said.
Meanwhile, over the past 24 hours 11,064 tests were conducted, with infection rate 1157percent, making the total conducted tests 2,651,652, he added. Al-Sanad renewed his call on the public to maintain social distancing, and to abide with all health regulations that would help in stopping the virus spread.(KUNA)
