1,267 illegal campsites razed

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 20: The Kuwait Municipality spokesman Muhammad Al-Mutairi said the Municipality monitoring teams have removed 1,267 violating camps and Kirby rooms, and issued 1,389 warnings, reports Al-Qabas daily. Al-Mutairi said in a press statement the decision to cancel camping for the current season is still in effect, in compliance with the recommendations issued by the health authorities.

A camp set up in the desert illegally is razed to the ground.

He added, the Municipality spares no efforts to implement the instructions of the government authorities when it comes to removing violating camps in order to avoid gatherings and the spread of the coronavirus. He called on the camp owners to remove all camps and encroachments in the best interest of the citizens and residents especially as the field teams will continue their work to implement the decisions issued in this regard
