12 electrical cables worth KD 2,940 stolen from Khaitan transformer

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 14: Security authorities have launched an investigation after an unknown person broke the lock of an electrical transformer belonging to the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy in Khaitan and stole 12 electrical cables worth approximately KD 2,940.

The theft was discovered when ministry employees inspected the transformer and found that its security lock had been broken and the cables removed. A ministry representative reported the incident but said he had no information identifying the person responsible.

A case of theft by breaking and entering was registered and referred to the Public Prosecution. Criminal investigators were called to collect fingerprints and other evidence, while detectives were tasked with conducting further investigations to identify and arrest the suspect.
