1,035 under probe for ill-gotten cash, graft

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 6: The Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) announced that it had referred 1,035 individuals to the Public Prosecution in 2025 on suspicion of committing corruption, illicit enrichment, submitting false financial disclosure statements, or failing to submit them within the legally specified deadlines, reports Al-Seyassah daily. It stated that this action falls within its mandate under Law No. 2/2016, as amended by Decree-Law No. 69/2025, and is part of its ongoing efforts to promote integrity, transparency, and the protection of public funds.
